Salary: $77,000 - 117,000 per year Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Masters degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with Service IO implementation and execution of cyberspace operations, public affairs, or Military Information Support Operations (MISO).
- Knowledge of HQDA processes, military staffing, and Army PPBE activities.
- Experience using enterprise data platforms for data integration, structured and unstructured data analysis, visualization, and decision support.
- Technical experience with AI/ML, NLP, or data science applications.
- Ability to translate complex technical issues and analytical findings into clear written materials, briefings, plans, and recommendations for DoD general officers and Senior Executive Service leaders.
- Expertise in applying AI, ML, and NLP to Army information capabilities and decision-making.
- Ability to evaluate AI/ML capabilities and limitations, explain how these technologies could be used to manipulate outcomes, and recommend ways to reduce the Armys vulnerability to adversarial manipulation.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate, and lead diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised learning algorithms, feature selection, and model optimization.
- Ability to develop innovative solutions for Army IO stakeholder requirements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Adobe tools.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, manage competing tasks, and meet short deadlines.
- Ability to travel for customer and company needs.
- Preferred: Former Army officer, with O-5-level experience strongly preferred; demonstrated initiative and effectiveness in high-visibility HQDA environments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Army Vantage or Palantir Foundry for data integration, visualization, and operational assessments.
- Preferred: Experience supporting operations at HQDA or a higher headquarters.
- Preferred: Knowledge of the Joint Force Requirements Process (JFRP) or its predecessor, JCIDS.
- Preferred: Familiarity with OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, COCOM, ASCC, and capability development organizations.
- Preferred: Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
Responsibilities: - Participate in DoD, Joint, and Army projects, studies, and working groups related to the DAMO-SOI portfolio.
- Conduct operational, systems, and technical analyses to identify capability gaps, assess requirements against threats, and develop recommendations for senior leaders.
- Advise on applying AI, ML, and NLP to existing and emerging Army capabilities, helping Army forces consolidate, contextualize, and analyze information at scale and speed for operations and decision-making.
- Track Army, Joint, Executive Communication and Control (ECC), and congressional actions assigned to DAMO-SOI through ETMS2 and CATMS.
- Develop briefings, information and decision papers, policy documents, staffing packages, execution orders, memorandums, situation reports, and official multimedia correspondence for DAMO-SOI.
- Support Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities by producing analytical materials, refining requirements, and informing portfolio resourcing decisions.
- Research congressional inquiries and requests from higher authorities, and draft responses addressing DAMO-SOI interests.
- Provide policy and technical guidance on structured and unstructured data, data management, and analytics to strengthen Army capabilities and decision-making.
- Coordinate meetings and conferences, including logistics, VTCs, notifications, agendas, and read-ahead materials; prepare minutes and executive summaries on time.
- Contribute to monthly status reports, work plans, and quarterly technical reviews, documenting completed products, analytical findings, and support provided to government decisions.
